Each year, the North American Society for Social Philosophy honors the best book published in social philosophy during that year with the NASSP Book Award. The Book Award Committee invites you to nominate a book to compete for this award for the year 2014. The Award will be offered to the
Peter Higgins’ book Immigration Justice was recently published by Edinburgh UP. It will be the subject of a NASSP-sponsored Author-meets-Critics session at the 2014 Eastern APA.
Larry May and Zachary Hoskins’ book International Criminal Law and Philosophy was out in June and includes contributions from NASSP members Anat Biletzki and Colleen Murphy along with many other impressive contributors.
Carol Gould has a new book coming out in October: Interactive Democracy: The Social Roots of Global Justice from Cambridge University Press.
Nancy Snow and Darcia Narvaez received a $2.6 million grant from the Templeton Religion Trust to fund “The Self, Motivation, and Virtue Project.” We will fund 10 research projects. More information and a request for proposals will be forthcoming soon.
