2025 Local Arrangements and Conference Registration
The 2025 Conference will be held jointly at two cross-border campuses over three days: July 17th in El Paso, Ciudad Juarez on July 18th, and El Paso for July 19th. The two campuses are just across the border from each other; NASSP will provide information about transportation options. Those who choose not to cross the border will be able to attend all talks via Zoom. Some talks will be held in Spanish with translation to English. The Public Philosophy Workshop, co-facilitated by La Mujer Obrera and Amy Reed-Sandoval, will be on Wednesday, July 16th.
Participation in the 2025 conference requires three things:
- membership in the North American Society for Social Philosophy (details below)
- payment of the 2025 conference registration fee (details below)
- completion of the NASSP Local Arrangements Form
- Please complete this form, regardless of whether you’re staying in the dorms.
For the 2025 conference, pay for registration here. You’ll be able to visit the Philosophy Documentation Center to:
- pay for the 2025 conference fee (includes Thursday night banquet at Café Mayapan)
- purchase or renew a membership and subscription to Social Philosophy Today
- pay for lodging in the University of Texas El Paso dorms (if that is where you wish to stay)
NASSP Membership
Standard year-long membership costs:
- Fully employed + journal access=$60
- Grad student/underemployed + journal access=$30
- Grad student/underemployed + no access=$15

Conference Registration
Conference registration fee (including banquet): Online registration will close on July 8. Those that miss this deadline will need to register onsite at the conference.
- Fully employed individuals – $250 [if paid by June 24]; $300 [if paid after June 24].
- Graduate students and underemployed individuals – $125 [if paid by June 24]; $150 [if paid after June 24].

In honor of the border culture, the conference will be held in the Art Gallery and Museum Germán Valdés “Tin Tan”, a few blocks from the Santa Fe International Bridge. “Tin Tan” is a Pachuco, an expression of the counterculture developed in the 1930s and 1940s in the borderland and urban areas like Los Angeles by young Mexican Americans to respond to the discrimination they were subject to in American and Mexican societies.
