2026 Conference Information

Location: University of Waterloo — Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Dates: July 16 – July 18, 2026

Forms of attendance: 

In person or virtual. Virtual spots are limited, comprising at most 20% of the program. We are offering the hybrid option for the sake of accessibility, broadly understood, so we trust that only those who require this for accessibility will request a hybrid spot. The opportunity to present remotely is on a first come, first served basis, and after the reserved slots have been filled we are not able to accommodate additional hybrid requests.

Food: 

Conference registration covers breakfast and lunch during every day of the conference, as well as the conference banquet! All meals which are part of the conference will be vegan or have vegan options as well as gluten free options. Travel:

Housing:

There are three options for housing associated with the conference:

1. Delta Hotel Waterloo

  • Style: Hotel.
  • Location: Off campus; about a 30 minute walk to the venue, or a 5 minute drive.
  • Price: Price per night: $160 USD, which is about $220 CAD. This is a per night rate.
  • Paid for directly via the Hotel Registration page

2. Mackenzie King Village

  • Style: One room in an air-conditioned apartment with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen.
  • Location: On campus; a half-mile walk to the venue.
  • Price: Total for four nights: $170 USD, which is about $235 CAD. This is a flat rate for the four nights.
  • Paid for via the PDC Registration page

3. St. Jerome’s Residence

  • Style: A single-occupancy air-conditioned dorm room with shared bathrooms.
  • Location: On campus; right next to the venue.
  • Price: Total for four nights: $275 USD, which is about $380 CAD . This is a flat rate for the four nights.
  • Paid for via the PDC Registration page

Deadlines:

  • Virtual: Requests to present virtually must be made by May 15.
  • Registration: Early registration rate is available until June 25. After that, registration is still available, but at a higher rate.
  • Housing: To stay at one of the on-campus options, you must reserve your housing by June 10.
  • Cancellation: If you decide not to attend, you may get a refund if you request it before July 6. Refunds before July 6 will require a $25 processing fee.

If you plan to attend the conference:

You will need to fill out two forms:
  1. The Conference RSVP Form.  This will get you onto the program, allow you to request one of the virtual spots, and let us know about your housing plans.
  2. The PDC Form. This will allow you to pay for the conference. Note that even if you request on-campus housing in the Conference RSVP Form, you can’t secure it without paying through PDC. (You pay for the hotel directly via the link above.)
