2025 Public Philosophy Workshop

 Exploring Social Justice with U.S.-Mexico Borderlands Children & Youth

Attending the 2025 NASSP conference in El Paso-Ciudad Juárez? Join us for this free, half-day workshop at Café Mayapán in El Paso, TX! It will include: 

  • Training from La Mujer Obrera activists on how to advocate for children and youth at the U.S.-Mexico border 
  • Presentations from community-engaged borderlands youth who participate in La Mujer Obrera’s mentorship program 
  • An interactive Philosophy for Children session for all ages focused on how to engage families in open dialogues about borders and migration 
  • A collaborative public philosophy project for participating philosophers, activists, and borderlands youth 

Participation is open to attendees of the 2025 NASSP conference and members of the La Mujer Obrera community. Breakfast and lunch from Café Mayapán will be provided to all thanks to a grant from the American Philosophical Association’s Berry Fund for Public Philosophy.
