2024 Local Arrangements and Conference Registration

The 2024 Conference will be held at Creighton University in the Harper Center, 602 N. 20th St., Omaha, NE 68102, July 11-13 2024. 

2024 Conference Registration  

Participation in our 2024 conference requires: 
  • membership in the North American Society for Social Philosophy (details below)
  • payment of the 2024 conference registration fee (details below)
  • completion of the NASSP Local Arrangements Form
    • The Local Arrangements Form allows Creighton University to prepare your room for you on the appropriate dates; the Philosophy Documentation Center conference registration form (linked below) allows you to pay for said room. 
    • Please complete this form, regardless of whether you’re staying in the dorms. This will allow the local host to know when you are coming and leaving for dining purposes, as well as if you have any food intolerances or dietary preferences. 
For the 2024 conference, pay for registration here. You’ll be able to visit the Philosophy Documentation Center to: 
  • pay for the 2024 conference fee
  • purchase or renew a membership and subscription to Social Philosophy Today
  • pay for lodging in the Creighton University dorms (if that is where you wish to stay) – must book by Wed. May 15  
  • pay for the banquet (if you wish to attend)

2024 Conference fee$200 [if paid by June 30]; $250 [if paid by July 7]. Online registration will close on July 6. Those that miss this deadline will need to register onsite at the conference.

Lodging in the Creighton University dorms: 
  • All bedrooms are single-occupancy. There is a one-time linens fee of $12 (included in prices listed below)
  • you must book by Wednesday, May 15

  • McGloin Semi-Private (2 people/suite)
    If you select this option, you have an opportunity to indicate who you’d like to share the suite with in the “NASSP Local Arrangements” form.

Local Arrangements

The 41st International Social Philosophy Conference will take place on the campus of Creighton University in the Harper Center, 602 N. 20th St., Omaha, NE 68102.

Transportation

Creighton University is located in downtown Omaha, NE, about four miles from Eppley Airfield (OMA). The trip from the airport to campus takes approximately 10 minutes by taxi or ride-share service.

Accommodations

Overnight accommodations are available either in campus residence halls or at a nearby hotel.

Campus Residence Halls
Rooms are available in Kenefick Hall and McGloin Hall, which are located on campus within a five-minute walk from the Harper Center, where all conference sessions will take place. If you wish to stay in a campus residence hall, please make your reservation through the conference registration site by May 15, 2024.

Hotel
Residence Inn Omaha Downtown Old Market Area, 106 S. 15th St., Omaha, NE 68102, is located approximately a 15-minute walk from campus and a 10-minute walk from the Old Market dining and entertainment district. If you wish to stay in the hotel, please make your reservation directly with the hotel using this link by June 12, 2024.

A statement about COVID safety: While we appreciate that the worst of the COVID pandemic is past, NASSP remains concerned to protect the health and well-being of its members. We encourage rapid testing before coming to the conference, and we encourage masking during the conference. Above all, please stay home if you are not feeling well.
